- AreaGuides.Net
- A leading local portal and transactions company that provides in-depth local content and services to help people "get things done" online.
- Bookpool Technical Books
- A really cool book site, selling technical resources at huge discounts. Way cheaper that Amazon or Barnes & Noble.
- Brainbuzz
- The IT Career Network .... this site has everything you would want for IT certification. Cramsession, Study Guides, and all kinds of resources to help you get ahead in the IT game.
- BrainBench
- This site is for Techs who want to test themselves for certification. BrainBench provides there own certificate in various IT areas. The cost is nominal, and a good test prep for those who are looking to Vendor Certify.
- Tech Republic
- A wealth of information for Techs in everything from Networking, Programming to Security and everything in between.
- Leap IT
- A wonderful site that provides quality online IT training. This site was started by Ed Tittel, of Exam Cram and Exam Prep book fame. They provide a streaming video with an instructor teaching a class, with a Powerpoint presentation along side the video as if you were in a classroom setting. Lots of IT links here too.
- The Football Network
- If you are a football fan, and you need to know what's going anywhere in the game, this is the site for you!
- Copernic
- This site provides a free downloadable program which combines a number of the most popular search engines and executes your search request on the various sites, simultaneously.
- Gator
- An excellent free utility which stores your user ID and Password information, for any site you visit.
- GRC
- This is an excellent site providing security testing on your internet connection, all for free. Good explanations are provided as to what and why you should be in stealth mode on the internet to prevent your PC from hack attacks.
- Zone Alarm
- An excellent and free basic firewall software package. Download it, install it, and you will feel safer venturing out into the Net, particularly if you have a Cable/DSL connection.
